Indulge yourself! Although small Hotel Tierra Maya is a full service resort located along the old beach road less than two miles north of the fishing village of Xcalak. The resort was opened in December of 1998 with the intention of providing all the amenities that will make your vacation a retreat with comfort and enjoyment.

Tierra Maya features six spacious and tastefully decorated oceanfront suites each with their own beachfront, balcony, overlooking the breathtaking expanse of the Mexican Caribbean. All guest suites are provided with 24 hour electricity, ceiling fans, purified drinking water, refrigerators in four of the seven suites as well as housekeeping service. Mother nature almost always provides a moderate, cool ocean breeze to keep things cool and comfortable.

The Maya Grill, our attractive new Restaurant and Bar-Grill completes Tierra Maya as a full-service tropical retreat. We serve you the best and freshest foods in the area expertly prepared by our chef, Carlos and his helpers, Isabel and Chahua. Reservations are requested, however we can accommodate walk-ins most of the time. The restaurant is open daily for a complimentary continental breakfast 7 days a week for guests staying at Hotel Tierra Maya. We offer an expanded breakfast at an additional price to accompany your coffee, fruit and pan dulce. And we serve breakfast entrees from 7:00 am until 1:30 pm for those folks who like to sleep late. Our restaurant opens again for dinner at 5:30 until 9:00 pm.

With some of the finest fishing, diving, and snorkeling activities just off-shore, comfortable hammocks, easy reading books, delicious food and drink either in or near your room, make the only pressure exerted upon you while staying at Tierra Maya will be to choose which activity to undertake when. To make your choices easier we arrange for off-shore fishing, fly-fishing, snorkeling, bird watching, as well as boat excursions to San Pedro, Belize with guides directly from our dock. Scuba lessons & certifications are available at nearby XTC Dive Center.

Diving on the local barrier reef and to the famed Chinchorro Banks are arranged for you with one of our Xcalak dive operators.
